I would say the Hall factor was probably the rationale.

I remember when we played the Panthers on NBCSN back in 2013-2014 late in the year. Zajac had a hat trick that game and I remember thinking ''why the hell would they schedule this game on NBSCN? Because we played them in the playoffs 2 years ago?''.

This is the most random game on NBCSN this year. They only even show the Oilers if it’s against an NBC favorite like the Pens or if they’re in San Jose, LA or Anaheim for the late game. And they barely ever show us on there and thank god for that.

Nope.

Only on NBCSN. Next week against the Capitals on Tuesday is also an NBCSN game. Not sure if that's only for out or market viewers and MSG will be doing it locally or not, but they aren't for this one.
