I mean, what is location, really
i'm just asking why people are ranking janmark ahead of our second rounders. it sounds like you are putting more stock into hakan than others on the draft team? i think that is reasonable.
Janmark should be ranked ahead of them based on his achievement so far. He had a great season on a very bad team in the SEL, and that's worth more than mediocre CHL seasons. He's also closer to the NHL and will likely be in GR the year after next.

If you want a more first person idea of why he's highly thought of, you can find a bunch of highlights here: http://www.shl.se/roster/AIK/4843 under "videoklipp". "Mal" is a goal and, well, "assist" is an assist.

I think a guy like Paterson has possibility as a backup. A guy like Nasty has some room to be a grind liner.

I don't see Janmark as a top 6 center, especially not with Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Weiss, Jarnkrok signed here for the next 4 years
With Sheahan, Helm, Abdelkader, Ferraro... etc, I dont' see much room for Janmark in the bottom six.

The good news is that you hold euro rights for four years now, so even if he's older they can monitor him for a long time before making a decision at all. In four years we'll probably know for sure where Jarnkrok, Sheahan and Ferraro are heading, if they even remain in the organization by then(doubtful all of them do).

so by voting janmark ahead of nastasiuk (and little bert too i guess), are we saying we're smarter than the wings front office? or are people assuming that the front office might be spit on these two players eg hakan thinks janmark is the better prospect, while joe mcdonnell might think nastasiuk is better? not saying its wrong to disagree with the front office, just wondering what people think ...

Nastasiuk is likely the "safer" prospect, while Janmark has more potential to bust (top 6 or nothing at all), but Janmark's skill set and ceiling are exciting. (Not that Nastasiuk's isn't)

Tvrdon pulled away for big edge, and Aubry is the add. Hopefully Tvrdon's health issues can be put behind him, a lot of talent and some pretty good size, curious to see what he weighs in at with the Griffins having missed some time and ordered not to exercise for a while. Still when he is on the ice he scores, plays pretty big and skates well for a kid his size. My favorite project in the system, he could make it in a very big way, hope Jurco is ready to mentor him and he makes Grand Rapids out of camp.

Vote and offer up an add if you have one.

Mantha is not as skinny as I thought. Malik said that at the prospects camp, he believed the 190lbs he was listed at was generous and that he looks even skinnier.
At the combine he actually weighed in at 197.8 lbs and measured 6'3.5". That was a few months ago and he is only 18 and still growing so he might even be over 200lbs now. http://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j...qiz4NpZIg6R7hkw&bvm=bv.49967636,d.dmg&cad=rja
This is probably the most recent official measurement we have for him. I would suggest changing what you have him listed at for accuracy.

I know who Doug Brown is. I was just wondering how this thread reminds you of him?

Doug Brown wore 17. He was known as Brownov because he played on a line with Fedorov and Kozlov, who both had names that ended with OV because they were Russian. Brown wasn't Russian, though.
