I dunno, I prefer Stemper with Sid. I like his play-style.

Though, Stemps did wonders with Sutter the other night as well. He can play anywhere on the team, I think.

I fully expect him to play at least 20 minutes based on how Bylsma's "eased" some of our other best players back into the lineup.

I'm getting sick of ragging on DB myself, but yeah that's pretty concrete evidence that he doesn't control his star players.

Scuderi has played this year like he had a mini stroke. Nice to see letang back.

Saw the thread about the Flyers' scoring depth on the mainboard and it really drove home something that I have been saying is holding this team back in the postseason...

The Flyers have 7 players that have scored at least 20 goals.

The Wings' top 7 scorers are:

Nyquist 28 G in 54 GP
Tatar 19G in 70 GP and only 14:18 TOI
Alfredsson 18 G in 66 GP
Datsyuk 17 G in 42 GP
Zetterberg 16 G in 45 GP
Franzen 16 G in 53 GP
Helm 12 G in 39 GP

Rangers top 7:

1 St.Louis 30
2 Nash 25
3 Richards 20
4 Zuccarello 19
5 Brassard 18
6 Stepan 17
7 Kreider 17
8 Hagelin 17
9 Pouliot 14

Bruins:

Iginla 30
Bergeron 29
Lucic 24
Marchand 23
Smith 20
Chara 17
Krecji 17
Soderberg 17

Hawks:

Sharp 33
Kane 29
Toews 28
Hossa 28
Shaw 19
Saad 19
Smith 13

And then, we have the Pens...sigh

Crosby 36
Kunitz 35
Neal 24
Malkin 23
Jokinen 18
Sutter 13
Niskanen 10
Letang 10

ugh

If Columbus manages to beat both Phoenix and Dallas back-to-back, that means they are feeling it and would be a little scary to face in round 1. Thats a team that is embracing the underdog role and getting hot at the right time.

Detroit, on the other hand, has a lot of guys coming back from injury. Probably would be on par with the Pens for the first few games - finding their rhythm and pace. Both Pens and Detroit have crap goaltending too. Thats a better matchup IMO.

If the Pens had been healthy i think they would have looked a little better there.
