i think we look good. we are gassing in the 3rd because we are only rolling 3 lines and double shifting.

once higgins comes back and slots in for baerstchi we'll be able to roll 4 lines effectively and virtanen will see more ice time alongside two defensively responsible players in higgins and horvat.

Off course he's gonna be afraid, because he knows WD doesn't trust him and he'll prob be scratch if he makes a rookie mistake.

WD trusts McCann enough to give him minutes, why wouldn't he trust Virtanen?

The coach is at fault for a lot of things but sometimes (crazy, I know) the players are responsible as well.

It's like absolving all the Ducks players of fault for getting shutout 4 times in 7 games because "they're playing to get the coach fired".

McCann made like 3 rookie mistakes tonight on give-aways and he took a penalty.

He still got ice time after each mistake.

Managent said the whole organization is on the same page yet to me it seems like the coaching staff and management are not even in the same book

What's crazy to me is that Bae and Virts don't even look that bad, they dont often turn the puck over and they dont look drastically out of place like VEY.

Vey was turning the puck over every shift, weak in every facet of the game and he got gifted the key to the city pretty much

It's pretty clear Willie is trying to take the safe route. He played the Sedins for 20+ minutes and drove The Edler-Tanev pairing into the ground with about 30 minutes each.Good luck making the playoffs if you're veterans are burnt out before Christmas.

Regardless of your opinion of how Virtanen and Baertschi are playing, the fact that both of them are playing under under 6 minutes each essentially means our team is playing 2 men down the entire game.

The Sedins, at their age, can NOT be playing 21+ minutes and this is extremely apparent in the 3 on 3 where they ALMOST got caught again. Dank taking that tripping call is 100% about Dank being outta gas.

WD does deserve some of the blame for this loss but so do the veterans for not scoring on Mrazek when we had them on the ropes.

These types of minutes are counter-developing our rookies. The veterans are all pissed off and the rookies can't do a damn thing about it.

No... damn... good...

These guys can't play their game. They're being far too passive in fear of screwing up. Now, how much of that is on the player and the coach is the question. Horvat was like that at first but not every youngster can be a Horvat.

This ain't the learning league boys.

Nah Shinkaruk

he's got the hot hand, another goal tonight

5 points in 5 games.

Shinkaruks not better than Baertschi. Makes no sense. Willie D only plays the grinder types. Let Gaunce grind away.

I just think that you can't really judge he's current level until he gets 8+ mins of ice time.
Since the next game is the 9th game, might as well try to play him more.

But we aren't even winning lol. It's not like we are riding the vets and getting points but then we still need to worry about them breaking down. We are riding vets and losing a lot.

Did you watch the pre-season and training camp? He clearly outplayed Virtanen. Willie D even said, he would have been happy with Guance in the starting lineup. Benning probably forced Virtanen on the team. Virt did nothing to deserve to be on the team to begin with.
