I remember him in the world jrs, at that time I thought he was a better prospect then Cirelli(who was actually picked a round later)

Had some injury issues. Thought he was going to be the fourth line C solution but was a little weak on the puck. Could be decent though - he's an NHL player but with limited upside.

He was on a decent pace when he went down with injury and jusr couldn't crack the lineup after he got healthy. Too bad but someone had to go.

He's the odd man out between Barre-Boulet, Raddysh, Katchouk. Had to make a roster move. His career has been derailed by injuries but could still end up being a bottom-6 player. Similar to the Erne trade two years ago.

As a Leaf fan, disappointed that we couldn’t beat that price. Guy was dynamite in junior, just needs time and more strength

With the departure of Paquette at 4C this was supposed to be the season for him to show if he can stick around in the NHL or not but he had his season ruined by an injury. Could be a decent pickup for a 6th or he could quickly be forgotten.

Interesting... fell out of favor in Tampa?? I honestly just assumed he had a spot penciled in Tampa next season

He was supposed to be the Paquette replacement this year. Didn't really stick - not bad but not good. Just played a little small.

Oh ok so more less giving the kid a chance elsewhere cause most likely doesn't have much of a shot to fully hit his stride/potential in Tampa?

Damn, 6th rounder is kinda a weak return. Erne got us a 4th, was hoping he could get similar. Bellemare better be good for us, he pushed Stephens out. Hopefully Stephens can stay healthy think he can be a decent player in the league still.

Was compared to Ryan Callahan when we drafted him to give you an idea of his play. Low ceiling, high floor, needs to stay healthy

The signings of Bellemar and Perry didnt leave enough room for him and he wouldn't have cleared waivers. He's a decent bottom 6 who has had injuries so hasn't played enough in the NHL to truly see his ceiling. 2 way player that works hard but unlikely to show too much offensively.
