First instinct : Someone is hurt and they needed a goalie, plus they didn't feel that Olkinuora or Brattstrom should be up.

2nd thought : Ned traded to Vancouver or Minnesota or some where a goalie is out for longer than anticipated.

Seattle signed him in July then waived him without ever playing him
then Ottawa claimed him and played him for 1 game where he had 29 saves on 31 shots then waived him
then Seattle claimed him and waived him again without ever playing him
now the Wings claimed him

watch the Wings waive him to send him to the AHL too and Seattle claim him again
