Thank You to Club de hockey Canadien for their wonderful tribute to Denna Laing.

The Bruins community gives you all a sticktap

Merci

As a member of the NWHL Boston Pride, Denna Laing was one of the pioneers participating in a breakthrough moment for her sport – the Outdoor Women’s Classic. Tragically, Denna suffered a severe injury playing the sport she loves.

The National Hockey League, Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens and the National Hockey League Players' Association are working together to help raise money for Denna's recovery and rehabilitation. On Tuesday, January 19, when the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens play for the first time since the 2016 NHL Winter Classic, the game-worn jerseys are being autographed by each player immediately after the game and are being auctioned off benefiting Denna Laing. 100% of auction proceeds from this auction will go to help defray expenses related to Denna Laing's recovery and rehabilitation.

Purchases of auctioned jerseys in connection with this benefit auction are not eligible for a charitable deduction. Please consult your tax advisor regarding tax consequences associated with any such purchase.

Auction beings at 7:05 PM EST on Tuesday, January 19 2016 and will begin closing at 9:00 PM EST on Thursday, February 11, 2016

It warms my heart to see Bruins and Habs fans working together. Sadly it took a tragedy for it happen not unlike a horrible day in Boston 3 years ago.

We will always be bitter rivals and of different cultures but the truth is we are more alike than different.

Merci.

Some of you may have heard she was planning to sue the NHL and everybody else involved with the Winter Classic.

The source of that story was the New York Post. They have retracted that story.

Denna Laing’s family is not preparing to sue the National Hockey League or anyone else over the serious injury the professional hockey player suffered during the NHL’s Winter Classic, a source with direct knowledge of the family’s thinking told The Post.

Did anyone hear how much money they raised? Hope the NHL steps in since they have deep pockets.

The NHL auction of the Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins autographed Winter Classic-themed jerseys worn on Jan. 19 has raised $63,484.52 to support Denna Laing, the NWHL player who suffered a serious spinal injury during the Women’s Outdoor Classic at Gillette Stadium on New Year’s Day.

Patrice Bergeron’s jersey sold for the highest amount ($5,100), with Brad Marchand ($3,720.63) and Tuukka Rask ($3,520) right behind him. P.K. Subban ($2,870) and Tomas Plekanec ($2,420) were the top sellers on the Canadiens side.
