Excited to see both Holl and Moore, expecting atleast a point between the 2 of them.

Dubas wants a defense core that is good in transition. Odd that Holl is only getting into his second game. Ozzy has shown to be a good puck mover I suppose, but Holl beats Marincin there quite easily.

Not sure what people expected of a guy who had 3 NHL games under his belt prior to this and hasn't been playing hockey this year really

People love a good memorable story. Score in your first game? You're a hero in this city for eternity.

Hard to judge Holl when he's barely played the whole season. Borgman got 48 games with the Leafs to start his career here before they sent him down to the Marlies. I wish Holl could get that kind of run or even half of that to see if he is an NHL defenseman or not. Don't see how it could hurt the Leafs all that much to give him a chance before deciding whether to keep him or not.

He was brutal this game. He's gotta be pretty far down the depth chart. Marincin is head and shoulders above this guy. He's literally just a spare. Fill in short term for injuries.

Rough night..felt bad for him. Luckily they win and it takes the sting out of his poor game a bit.

He seemed to get better as the game went on, which makes sense when you don't play as often as the regulars. Think he's in a tough situation, if he does end up getting a couple of games in he should look better.

I think it'll be tough. Marincin has usually looked good when he's been called upon, he was far superior when both were in the AHL last year, and has far more NHL experience. Plus he's capable of doing a lot more than Holl has ever shown. I think Marincin is in line for the majority of opportunities.
