Krejci was the offensive catalyst for a 6-7 stretch he was Batman on offense Bergeron was Robin

Once 63-37-88 formed Bergeron became Batman and Krejci is robin

but to think Krejci lived a charmed life when he played top pairs every night for years is laughable

Krejci lead the postseason in scoring as the #1 center 2x playing top pairs

put some respect on Krejcis name

Stop crying, Im sure Krejci will be ok

the last year of deal at 34. you really just ignore all context of how these deals play out over time and how fortunate the bruins are to have someone produce till the end of a deal

Not trying to, just think he's been coddled for years. Without looking how has he been in game 7's over the years

finals game 7's? how about ECF where he won the game for them against Tampa. He's been very good against Toronto in game 7's. He's played for many years, I don't see any coddling by the Bruins franchise of Krejci.

Let's move on. Paying 7.25 and getting 47 points on average for that deal is gross. Anyone else would have been torched in Boston. He's had it pretty good. Done defending my opinion on him.

I hope he kills it the rest of the year.

i think moving on from him would sink the Bruins into massive irrelevantcy for no reason depleting from an already thin forward group but out of my control what the brass does. a savvy team.will get krejci and put him with talent and he'll succeed

In a redraft 2003 Krejci goes 3 or 4 after Ovechkin & Malkin. They are the top point getters followed by one time David Krejci linemate Blake Wheeler.

Bergeron 2003 is 3 in points but if healthy can end first - crazy huh

Wheeler 2004 is 3
Krejci 2004 is 4

they won’t be caught and they won’t catch the Russians

Kessell 2006 is 2
Marchand 2006 is 5
Lucic 2006 is 7

Backstrom is 1 and Giroux is 3

Marchand will catch Toews if he doesn’t return but realistically should get 1000 points and maybe 500 goals health wise 400 in 3 years

That's not accurate at all. His contract began at the start of the 2015/16 season. Since then, he's operated at pace of 0.76 points per game, good for 62 points for a full 82 game season. And his production essentially remains constant through the playoffs at 0.73 P/GP. Over this contract, he's also a plus +46 combined between regular season and PO's all whilst being defensively responsible. Perhaps he's a a hair overpaid, but his contract is far from being gross by any stretch.

I think Krejci is drafted higher than Wheeler. Wheeler had some great regular seasons but Krejci’s playoff success puts him ahead IMO.

Hey, stop with this numbers stuff! You have to let him use injuries and a pandemic that made everyone in the league play less games and score less points to make his point!

I would much rather overpay a 1b/2a center by a hair than a 3rd liner. Doesn't matter if Krejci is 500k-1m overpaid, he's been nothing but consistent his entire career in a top-6 role here. Consider it a tax from 2011.

I never said he is a shit player did I. HOF ? Your MVP stance is idiotic. Guy has had a great career behind Bergy and the hard match ups. DK has lived a charmed life in Boston and was grossly over paid while doing it.

Still a very good secondary player that will get his assists for sure playing with Hall and Smith toward the end of his time in Boston. 7M will be better spent elsewhere moving forward.
Ignorance at the highest level....2010 up 3-love on Philly...Richards breaks his hand....We lose 4 straight...Where was Bergie ?....Chara ?....,,,It was Krejci that got hurt and it was his team that folded ....As KREJCI scores VS Washington.......

2011...LEADS the NHL in Payof scoring.....2013 leads the playoffs in scoring.....

You need to learn hockey pal....Cause you are ignorant about evaluating players....Totally.

38 points in 49 playoff games over the last three years. That type of production is elite considering how hard it is to score in the playoffs, and extremely rare in a second line player. Easily worth his contract.

There has not been a day of David Krejci's current contract where the team could not have traded him for a second round pick and a prospect without retaining a penny. If this team had any interest in being out from under his contract they could do it anytime.

If Krecji really cared about the regular season and had a warrior's mentality all 82 games like Marchand he would be an 85+ point player with competent linemates. But then he would cost $9 mil a season.

You've embarrassed yourself enough on this thread already, time to wrap it up.

Don't worry, the thing with people who take these types of stances against Krejci is that when he isn't producing they pile on him, and when he does produce they use it as an opportunity to say "See! Look what he's capable of! This proves my point that he is lazy and disinterested a lot of the time!" Must be nice to live in a world that prevents you from ever being or admitting you are wrong about something. I think Krejci's inconsistency is a useful topic to discuss, but when I see comments like "A trained monkey could make that pass" I just turn off.

Overall, I have been mesmerized by how this guy plays the game since I first started watching the Bruins obsessively in the 2008-2009 season. At times when I look at his overall body of work I do see some underachievement, most of it not self inflicted, but again a fair critique of the player could be that his linemates are too much of a variable to his performance - but unless your name is Sidney Crosby and perhaps a select few others I think that is true of most everyone, why is the bar so high here? There was a version of Krejci's career that perhaps would have looked closer to Nicklas Backstroms (from a point perspective) if he had more consistency and star power on his wing - but in some respects I like him being a bit more under the radar.

Either way, I can see the jump in his step the last couple games and that 2nd one today....wow - I truly hope the Bruins sign him for another 2-3 years (his game is aging really well) but for now I'm just going to enjoy watching this guy play for what is possibility the last stretch of his career in Boston.

The guys scored his 5th goal of the year, get the duckboats ready. I will keep my point of view you don't like it tough **** for you.

Hall may be just what he needed to get his head out of his ass , I hope he keeps it up we need everyone pitching in. Bergy and Brad Pasta have done their part long enough.

Hall is a world class playmaker it's no surprise Krejci is playing better.

I think Krejci is enough of a team first, comfortable where I am type to take a one year deal and come back and see where he and the team are at the following season. I think 1 year/6 mill offer is pretty fair and I think he takes it.

I don't think this is a Chara situation, where it was clear Chara was not as effective and we needed to test out the legs of the youth in the pipeline. Krejci is proving that he can still bring it and Studnicka showed that he needs a little more time before playing for a contending team.
