Rumor: Dave Morrison possibly out?

Serious Question: What is the difference between what Morrisson does/did and what Hunter does?

Hunter's in charge of all aspects of player personnel - amateur scouting, pro scouting, development, training.

Morrison is just head of amateur scouting.

But practically speaking, the biggest difference would be Hunter is part of the decision making with Dubas, Pridham, Shanny, Babcock, and now Lou. He's involved in most if not all decisions. Morrison just organizes the amateur scouts, and gives input, but isn't likely to be calling any shots.

Spotting talent is one thing while developing them is another. Historically, usually the top 5 picks are either stars or at the very least solid NHL players but there are exceptions.
Drafting someone is important, but developing them is crucial.
