The way I'd rank our D as how they've performed so far this year:

1. Yandle
2. McDonagh
3. Klein
4. Girardi
5. Staal
6. Boyle

2. 4. and 5. IMO can all do better. I'm not so sure about 6. For where he is he might be giving his optimal performance which is why I'd advocate that Dylan McIlrath or 7. take some of his games.

this. Staal is the better of the two in my opinion, and if there is a way to keep him and move Girardi for a guy that can pair similar to Mac, that would be ideal. its just a fantasy tho. Marc will go for the cap space.
