2) the re-signing condition tells me the Stars have no interest in re-signing him.

Conditions are fine to me. If we make it to the conference finals, that's a bottom 4 pick anyway and it'll be well, well worth it.

If we re-sign Zuccarello, we're keeping a legitimate scorer. Also probably worth a 1st (especially on this team).
