Hawks already won lets be honest..

Someones bitter about an early exit...

Give me Crosby/Kunitz and Malkin/Neal over Toews/Kane/Kessel every day of the week. And Anderson as the starter?

These are the two best players in the world we're talking about, they're going to light up Andy.

They couldn't light up Bobo.

Do you really think your team is better than the Hawks? Honestly, there were around 6 teams in the West better than yours. Kings, Hawks, Nucks, Ducks, Sharks, and Blues for sure.

ROFL a at you making fun of Anderson when you have Fleury in net.

Jesus, the amount of love Andersons getting after a pathetic season is sickening. Calling it mediocre would be considered a huge complement. I'll admit Fleury is no top 10 in the league, but anyone who would take Anderson over Fleury must have been in a coma last season.

As an Ottawa native and non-sens fan, I rejoiced every time I saw Andy in net as a bunch of my sens friends expressed their displeasure in him time and time again.

But hey, Anderson had a legendary 23 games 2 years ago right? lets just keep pretending that those 23 games defined his HoF-like career. To think he can lead a team past LA or a bunch of other Western conference teams is hilarious, overrate him more guys.

I said it before and I'll say it again, as good as Chicago is, Anderson wouldn't stand a chance against the two best players in the world over a 4-7 game series and he would get lit up.

Yes, because Fleury has proven time and time again he is an elite playoff goaltender.

That series would be high scoring, but not close.

Look at the defense cores Anderson has had in his career and compare it to the one he's currently playing behind. Crosby has 1 goal in his last 15+ playoff games, what ascribes you to believe he's going to "light it up"? Your team is vastly inferior.

It would be high scoring, and it would definitely be close. You're severely underrating the pens' top forwards, they have the best 1-2 punch in the league bar-none. For every crappy goal Fleury lets in (and i don't doubt he'll let in some very bad goals), Anderson may let in one or two himself for all we know. He's good against the east, the west would eat him alive before he made it to the finals.

PS: remember what happened the last time Anderson played the pens? I'll give you a hint...it wasn't pretty. Pulled game 1, let in 6 goals in games 3 and 4. I'm not saying Anderson can't beat the pens, he definitely can...but the hawks defensemen better make damn sure no put gets to the net

Anderson's season wasn't really that bad, calling it "pathetic" is a definite hyperbole. Especially considering his other career stats, it's safe to say this season was the outlier, not the others.

I like how you merged 2 games from last season with this season just to help your argument. He had a rough post-season this year, do you really think this year is an indicator of what will happen again next playoffs? Answer truthfully now...

The guy has 114 points in 95 games and Malkin has 111 in 94...I think if either of them take one playoffs off, you can bet your ass they'll do whatever it takes to play hard the next one

It may not seem that bad on the stats page, but as a person who watched way more sens game than the average non-sens fan would, he had a really rough year.

I without a doubt lost at least one vote from the comments I made but I stand by them, Crosby/Kunitz and Malkin/Neal would run Anderson out of his net or light him up again just like they did last year...and I know, he has better defense in front of him this year.

He has more skill sure, with Byfuglien on the 3rd line instead of where he excels at and Bolland on the 4th but I have role players who play where they're meant to play. Skill =/= cup.

That defense is pretty damn good, but as good as their defense is, my top 6 is better. My defense isn't as great as theirs but it is good, and it at least comes kind of close to matching their top 6. I'll admit the hawks' top 6 is more than the pens' defense can handle, but I think Crosby and Malkin's line will do more damage than the haw's top 6.

Also I just noticed Brodeur is also on the team LOL, I think (and hope) we can all at least agree that he's no longer elite?

:nhl

I think I will just auto the entire 2015 draft since not many GMs are online.

I have to write an exam in an hour so I wouldn't have been able to make it anyways...I should be studying now but instead I'm busy explaining why Anderson would not be able to handle Malkin and Crosby for the 2nd year in a row after getting wrecked last year.

Joe Vitale and Brian Gibbons on a cup finalists top 9 :biglaugh:

How is that any funnier than a washed up Brodeur and a declining Anderson? Those two play in positions that can hurt the hawks much more than Vitale and Gibbons could hurt the pens.

I'm on mobile at an airport but vote Bruins. Our future squad is on the roster thread + that doesn't even include Seth Jones and Jarnkrok.
