This is my 1st GM game, but I think it went pretty well. The only trade I lost (imho) was the Tavares one. But I got a lot out of it which was used to pick up even better assets, and fast forward the team several years to the point where they're playoff contenders. We plan to have a team in the mold of the Bruins - you'll hate to play against us because we're a defensive team first (all 4 lines and defense are responsible and know their place) while having plenty of agitating qualities (torres, martin, clutterbuck, carkner in particular) and the ability to score with all 4 lines (3rd line was hovering around a .5PPG this year, 4th line has hovered around that in the past) as well as being extremely clutch and a great playoff team with plenty of leadership ability and people who know what it takes to win.

So yeah, vote for :isles

FORWARDS
Daniel Sedin - Henrik Sedin - Thomas Vanek
Evander Kane - Ryan Kesler - Jarome Iginla
Carl Hagelin - Cody Eakin - Blake Wheeler

Marc Staal - Tobias Enstrom
Calvin de Haan - Kevin Bieksa

GOALTENDERS
Henrik Lundqvist

[/fieldset]

Tried to give the ol' Canucks guard one last kick at the can. Added some terrific, top notch talent to this team. Added plenty of leadership and experience. And most importantly, added the top goalie in the league to our roster. Henrik Lundqvist alone give us a chance every night. With our standout defense and very deep offense we think we can legitimately compete for the Stanley Cup!

[fieldset="Waivers"]
  • If you'd like to place a player on waivers, post in this thread along with the player's contract information.
  • To save time and avoid confusion and complications, waivers will be "first come, first serve". Whoever puts in a claim first will get the player.
  • If you claim a player and he puts you over the cap, it will be vetoed and the said player will be put back on the waiver wire.
  • Teams will have 12 hours to claim a player off the wire before he clears.
  • GMs can only claim 3 players off waivers at a time (for example claiming 6 players at once will not count)
  • Once a player is placed on waivers, he cannot be taken out until he clears. Once he clears, you may send him through re-entry waivers if you wish, but keep in mind if someone puts in a claim you will have to pay half of the player's salary and cap hit.
  • If a player clears his cap hit will be off your cap
[/fieldset]

To late.

The way voting will work this game is sort of a hybrid of the randomization that has been used. Voting will be done as normal however an additional three votes will be added to each series. The way the three votes will go is by using chatzy. Chatzy will be asked to choose between the two teams three separate times, those votes will be added to the original vote total.
