GOALTENDERS
Marc-Andre Fleury ($5.000m) / Brent Johnson ($0.600m)

We have the 3 things needed to win the cup.
A number one center. Check. Sidney crosby
A number one defenceman. check. Shea Weber
An all star goalie. check. Marc Andre Fluery.

We have indredable depth up front as well as on the back end. We have 3 1sts in 2012, which is an incredabley deep draft, and should allow us to pick up some allstars to go along with the cup. Our team is deep, strong, fast and battles every shift. No chokers on this team.

Vote :pens!!!

and we are currently intrested in trading our 1sts for top winger(s). We have over 17m in cap space, so salary is not an issue.

What has missing from the Caps last year and the year ebfore
a number 1 goalie.
What has Tomas Vokoun missed year after year a winning team that can not only make the playoffs but make a run to the cup.
Now he has that and we have that.
If he he needs a break then we but in Michal Neuvirth he has showen he can be a number one
our defense is lead by mike green and john carlson.
We also have great young Defensemen in Dmitri Kulikov and Karl Alzner.
Our shutdown Defensemen are Anton Volchenkov,Jeff Schultz and Roman Hamrlik.
One thing that the Caps didn't have was leadership and depth
Doan, Halpern,Stillman and Knuble are playing that bring leadership that everyteam needs for a run
it's to most underrated part.
Alexander Ovechkin,Nicklas Backstrom and Ilya Kovalchuk is one of the best top lines in the NHL.
All of them had 81 goals and 201 ponits altogether last season
we have depth do a 60 point player in doan on the 2nd line and 50 point player in Sergei Kostitsyn on the 3rd line
and a 34 point player as a spare in Alexei Kovalev
we have a great balance of young and old and a great future that makes us a contender for years.
We also have 4M in space to add some more depth.
We will be looking for top 9 forwards abnd some more vet d-man

so vote :caps 1st in the East

this CAR is just like the one that almost made the playoffs
there is a upgrade and d and goal so ward doesn't have to play 74 games and we have a back up that can win
heatley is a upgrade on cole and is the top line winger staal needs
this team should be around 6-8th in my mind
vote :canes for the playoffs

Downie - Stamkos - St. Louis
Avery - Lecavalier - Purcell
Raymond - Weiss - Bergeron
Hall - Moore - Thompson
Tyrell

Brewer - Hedman
Ohlund - Montador
Kubina - Clark
Gilroy

Roloson
Schneider

Points to note... Three scoring lines, 1 checking line, 4 center deep boasting the best center depth in the game. Lines are based on pairings (St.Louis and Stamkos, Lecavalier and Purcell, Weiss and Raymond). Bergeron on the butter minutes line playing forward. Need him for his PP cannon but don't want him on the backend. 6 deep defensemen blueline. Schneider is the heir to the net and will split duties with Roloson until playoff time, where Roloson is given the opportunity as he's a proven playoff performer

We were able to successfully acquire some good players without trading any core players which was our goal and only making a couple but good deals, As GM of the Philadelphia Flyers I think I did a good job.

I think you should deduct 20 points from the teams of those posters that do that.

Or give them points... Depending if they're tanking or not.

I'm pretty sure I know who your talking about.

I'd say that's a ridiculously deep 3 forward lines, with a decent 4th line as well. My d is solid and has a good mix of offense first and defence first players. Crawford had a breakout year last season and will look to improve and build on that.
