We are pleased to get Semin who can play with the Sedins or move down onto the 2nd line when Kesler is put with them. He is a very nice player. However disappointing it is to lose Kassian and Corrado, along with Welsh and a couple more pieces, we feel he makes our top six more versatile and dangerous.

Booth was merely a salary dump... maybe he'll perform better in Carolina!

Happy to add Zack Kassian. This guy was one of our target, he'll be a top power forward in the NHL with his skills and mean streak. Corrado has the potential to be a very solid top 4 all-around defenseman for us. Welsh is a good prospoect, a late boomer with size and skills. He'll start the year in the AHL, but he's NHL ready or really close so he'll have a good chance to get call up. Hamill add center depth to our organisation. He'll be a top six forward and a leader for our AHL club, and we still like his potential to develop into an NHL'er, an offensively gifted playmaking center with a good defensive game as well. Booth will get a new start here. A great guy wiith size and speed, hopefully can rebound here. He'll also be a good veteran for our young team. A pretty high draft pick is a nice thing to have also.
