I'm willing to leave Seider in the minors for another year. I don't think it's wise to throw a 19-year old in the NHL on a bad team.

One thing they talk about is not wanting to hurt the griffins playoff push which makes some sense.

The Griffins play at home on the 23rd and then on the road on the 28th. The wings are at home the 24th-27th with a home game against the devils. He could skate with the team for a couple of days get a game and then fly to San Antonio on the 27th to rejoin the Griffs.

The Griffins play a home game on march 14th then their next game is in toronto on the 19th. During that span the wings have a off day, play a home game against florida and have 2 more off days before going to Phoenix. In theory Seider could practice with the big club for a couple of days and get an nhl game in.

Neither one is ideal but one or both would be an opportunities to give him a cup of coffee while minimizing the impact on the Griffs. Of course there are other factors to consider but there are some small windows of opportunity in the schedule.

And he got flat-out embarrassed a few times last game.

He's following a very predictable and familiar path right now. "How can he be worse than ______", "He's solid but nothing special", "I didn't notice him, that's a good thing!", "oh wait, this guy IS actually worse than _____"... and completely written off by fans at the age of 22
