The radio silence with him is certainly curious. I'd wager he turned down PTOs and is hoping to land an NHL contract once the preseason dust settles. He'd shore up the third pairing for most teams.

What’s was his reported ask? Didn’t Jim Benning think he was going to command around $4million so they turned the page on him in Vancouver.

If he was looking to get paid as a #5 which he is, he’d likely be signed already. If he’s still thinking he’s a top 4 and wants any term he’s going to be disappointed
