I am wondering about Hronek, where his production went in the second half of the season. His first 41 games he got 34 points but in the second 41 only 14 which is kinda meh considering he is playing with Hughes.

Honestly I am not watching the games, and I can see him at various websites getting mostly over 7.0 rating in those games, so how is he? Is he still playing good? And what happened there that he completely stopped producing points eventhough he was really playing a lot.

Honestly I kinda expected him to go somewhere in the 60-65 points range. That 48 is kinda dissapointing in the end, but If he is playing still good then I guess its okay.
If he can ever sustain a full season he'd be top 10. Seems to start strong and fade.

Found this to be disappointing. Stezka had a slower start, great finish and a good overall season in AHL. I was expecting a second NHL contract tbh.

Sprynar and Sapousek returning to extraliga. I see it as maybe a good sign. Maybe Extraliga will finally start giving prominent spots to 20 and 21 year olds and developing them. Rychlovsky being a great example. Make the league good again, dammit!

Tichacek staying in Kladno?? Hope thats not final and an NHL contract can still overthrow this. Still even if he dont go to NHL/AHL more probably, I would still assume he would sign in a much better team either in ELH or in some other euro league.

Him staying in Kladno would me mighty dissapointing tbh.

It was the last thing I was expecting tbh....

In order:

2 way contract and in AHL in October
Top Extraliga club
NLA, SEL or Liiga

Kladno next year wasn't even on my mind.lol I'd like to see him on a stronger team against stronger competition to continue developing.

Tarnation
Rousek with three 3rd period assists to help bring the Amerks back from down 3-0 to tie the game and force OT. He did not get in on the winning goal at all, but he (and Kulich) get another game next week.

Some small hints Chytil (or another of the forwards) could be subbed into the lineup tomorrow. Not saying for sure, but tomorrow may be the day for Chytil to return.
Just seeing him practice is so good. I honestly thought he would be commentating with francouz and Voracek for CT24 (Czech tv)

So I was bored so I did a bit of an early survey on how our numbers in NHL and AHL could look next year, based on the contracts, player performance etc.

Who is a lock (still under contract or I think will definitely get a contract):

Pasta, Zacha, Necas, Hronek, Hertl, Palat, Kampf, Faksa, Rutta, Gudas, Chytil (hope and believe he will be back next season), Zadina (I believe he will get a contract, he is still a very decent bottom 6 player)

So thats 12 players locked (damn thats so few lol)

With questionmarks (without contracts, performances was so so, or maybe they would just go to europe and f*** it in the NHL)

Kubalik (from what he said he really wants to stay in NHL, but will someone give him a chance?), Nosek (also without contract, dont know if anyone would want him or not), Lauko (he has contract, but is on a verge of lineup so it could be another full season, could be AHL also), Zohorna (without contract dont know if he gonna want to continue in NA), Vrana (well I hope he gets one last chance, but dont give it much chance honestly)

Who could be added as a new NHL regular (finally lol)

Jiricek and Kulich of course. But hopefully also from the group Blumel, Rousek, Klapka, Svozil (Blumel and Klapka are without contracts, but I hope they will continue in NA and will be figting more for the chance, especially Blumel is for me NHL quality player, he just needs to get a proper chance)

As for GKs:

Only one without contract is Rittich and I believe he will get a new contract after that season he had. Suchanek may get a couple of games too. But not many changes there imo for next season.

So all and all we can be anywhere from as low as 12-13 regular skaters to 18-19 skaters ... my personal tip will be 15-16 (the 12 locks + Kubalik, Jiricek, Kulich and maybe Vrana or Nosek)

Those are still really bad numbers lol, now lets look at the AHL

Currently we have 31 skaters listed and 7 GKs in the AHL - I would say that around 20 regular skaters was there this season

Guys under contract: Kulich, Rousek, Ivan, Svozil, Mysak, Jiricek, Brabenec, Spacek, Pavel, Chmelar, Novak, Szturc, Hamara, Mechura,, Sale

15 players

Guys without contract: Blumel, Klapka, Vrana, Jenik, Teply, Zohorna, Smejkal. Simek, Zboril, Raska, Pekar, Marcel, Kubicek, Stinil

14 players

Now guys who already left or I think will leave: Hajek, Reichel, Smejkal, Simek, Zboril, Kubicek

Questionmarks: Jenik, Teply, Zohorna, Raska, Pekar, Jenik, Stinil

Who I think will stay: Blumel, Klapka, Vrana, Marcel

Who will or can possibly come from europe: Hovorka, Tomasek, Tichacek, Rychlovsky

Who will or can come from CHL: Becher, Sapovaliv, Sapousek, Slavicek, Cibulka, Moravec (dont know what Melovsky and Rymon - I guess they will still get one more CHL season

So all and all here we will probably be on the same level around 30 players again, maybe rise a few maybe, which would be good. but we will have most of players under contract next year so in 2-3 years our numbers in AHL can raise considerably ... which is great, cause as I said, we must brute force it, if we have 50-60 guys in AHL, some mathemaically must make it also in NHL lol

This trend continues... normally I'd say failed player returning home but there seems to be a trend of good young Czechs returning to play in Extraliga. We need a lot more 20 year olds playing regularly (like Sweden) so I'm all for these guys returning and playing as 20 year olds. Need more Rychlovksy's in the ELH! Tired of 25 year old guys that never had a NHL chance and failed AHLers dominating the league. We sorely lack up and coming guys with some NHL dreams.
