Have we even had 584 home games? Something tells me we haven't had 10 million fans.
I count this as home game #701, not counting pre-season games.

97 -- 44 (41+3 playoff)
98 -- 44 (41+3)
99 -- 44 (41+4)
00 -- 43 (41+2)
01 -- 41
02 -- 43 (41+2)
03 -- 41
04 -- 41
06 -- 41
07 -- 41
08 -- 41
09 -- 41
10 -- 44 (41+3)
11 -- 43 (41+2)
12 -- 50 (41+3+3+3)
13 -- 24
14 -- 33, this will be the 34th

10,000,000 divided by 700 = 14,285, which sounds about right.

Anyway, bedtime, enough math ... go :coyotes

This one will be broadcast as the second game of Hockey Night in Canada. A lot more eyeballs on the Yotes tomorrow night. Hope they perform on the big stage!

Awesome GDT.

I have to admit my optimism for making the playoffs is pretty low right now, but if we're going to hang on by a thread, tomorrow is a must-win game, period.

Considering our opponent, and I mean no disrespect, it matters little if we spot them a loser point in the process.

Looking ahead to plenty of Calgary fans, filling our empty seats, buying 50/50 tickets...and sitting on their hands for 2 1/2 hours...

Let's not bad mouth them though.

To be perfectly honest, visiting fans of just about any Canadian team (have 0 experience with visiting Jets fans so I'm not inclined to include them in the generalization, but my limited experience online with Jets fans leads me to believe about the same) are generally awesome people. Even Toronto, the team that everyone loves to hate.

In January, the one game we played against the Leafs at home, there were a large amount of Leafs fans in the arena, and I was sitting next to some. However, the Leafs fans sitting next to me were good people and we chatted about hockey in general throughout the entire game. I'm glad to have met them. Their closing words to me as they left with about 4:00 left and the Leafs were up 4-2 were, "I hope you don't win, but it was good to meet you. Best of luck in the future." Great people.

Honestly, as a Coyotes fan, I don't care who packs the seats and pays the bills. As long as there is a team here in Arizona that I can go to root for, I'm just fine with it.

The girl I did go out with tonight did mention her parents had season tickets, but she mentioned that they gave up on their season tickets not only for financial reasons(they live in scottsdale), but also because they were getting tired of how many away team fans were showing up to games. I do enjoy the boost in attendance we have had this year compared to years past. I hope it continues.

With Dallas having a game in hand and up 2 pts (actually 3 pts with ROW), this is a must win game.

If Dallas wins 10 of 16, or any combination to get 20 more pts, then we'd have to have 23 pts over 15 games.

23pts against the following opponents seems to be a tall task...which means we can only lose 3 games in regulation
Calgary
LA
Florida
Boston
NYRangers
Pittsburgh
NJ
Minnesota
Winnipeg
LA
Edmonton
Columbus
Nashville
San Jose
Dallas

Going roughly 10-3-2 is a lot to ask for a team that can barely string together two wins in a row.

Remember that for the game in hand, the Stars trail 1-0. We have that going for us, which is nice.

I don't think Dallas will have 20 more points by the end of the year. Letonen is out, not sure for how long, and Peverle being out is going to hurt them. We need them to stumble a little while we play well and get Hanzel back too, hope he is in tonight...

Why does everyone keep leaving out that Minnesota is still very much in this? They have some tough stretches of games left, including the Bruins twice and the Blues twice. We have a home game left against them too. Six points can be gone quickly if a couple of games would go our way.

Because we can't beat the Sabres twice.

Tonight's Lines:

Boedker - Vermette - Vrbata
Korpikoski - Miele - Moss
McMillan - Ribeiro - Doan
Bissonnette - Chipchura - Halpern

Yandle - Morris
OEL - Stone
Gormley - Summers

Doesn't sound like Hanzal, Klinkhammer, and possibly Z will play.

Biz and Smith will be on the 'After Hours' segment on HNIC after the game.
