even with all the negativity I feel towards the coach and team now Ill still be excited for a game like this. I like internal storylines like Fantilli vs Cooley
To be honest, if we lose to the Coyotes at home, that’s really reaching the rock bottom

My negativity isnt toward the team. They are who they were built to be.

2. The coach
They are all complicit in this shxt show.
An owner who cared, a GM who knew what he was doing, and a real coach would go along way.
Both their goalies are better than ours, their Calder candidate is having a better season, their xG is top 15 in the league, they're fifth in their division with 16 pts... they are in every dimension you can find a better team than we are.

Can we please for the love of all things CBJ put our PP specialist on the f***ing powerplay.
And I don't mean Boqvist. Jiricek should be RACKING up points on the powerplay between him and Laine... It forces the D up closer which opens up the 3 guys down low and gives them more space to operate.

After checking yesterday, the 10-11-86 line is top 10 in the league for G/60 and they were something like top 30 for expected goals against/60 as well

Not sure I like this match up! Arizona is used to playing in front of small crowds and they won't be fazed by NWA

I'd consider swapping Fantilli for Jenner. Gotta try the kid between our 2 star players.
And one thing to watch for is the ARI PP. Not that I want CBJ to take any penalties, but they are really really good at moving the puck around on their PP. Quite dangerous.

The only reason I saw people suggesting that is to try to jump start Gaudreau

I don't think matching him up with Fantilli is a very good idea since Fantilli is rocking a 38% FO% and Gaudreau is not good at helping recover the puck.
He needs to be matched up with a complementary player (a la Lindholm) and a physical player who is good at digging out pucks and crashing the net (Tkachuk).
I think Gaudreau should be with Jenner at center and then a playmaker / distributor.
TFW and Jiricek were both killing it on Cleveland's PP, TFW even more so.
Try running an umbrella on one of the units with
Laine - Jiricek - TFW
Putting Jiricek gives us a bomb from the point that we haven't seen since Jones left. Once he starts producing it would open up Laine for his one timer. Right now teams can take away the pass to Laine and have 0 repercussions. There's no consistent threat outside of his shot right now and it hasn't been a threat at all this season.
