Only a verse is covered, but great transition into "Rusholme Ruffians".

I respect the gumption of this pick and I like The Smiths but...yeah...I'm going to have to sort of...go ahead and sort of disagree with you on this one (Bill Lumbergh voice). That track is almost a perfect song as done by Elvis.

Edit: Not sure you were saying cover was "better" or whatever. Didn't mean it that way.

I was listening to some 1974 music for the upcoming poll, and I came upon this fun cover of the ELO classic:



I love the original song, and VR's cover betrays completely its unique atmosphere, but I have to admit that getting rid of that synth sound is a huge plus.

Original is probably untouchable, but I also love Bruce so happy to see a favorite cover arguably my favorite of all time.
