I wouldn’t mind moving either of them as well. Pelech I think is fine as a #6 with room to grow a bit more but I feel Mayfield is a #6/7 closer to #7
e)

I thought Pelech would be more solid then he was.

too much too soon crew, he's still a baby experience wise, losing Boychuck, DeHaan and Hamonic left him covering minutes and competiion he wasnt prepared for, he'll be okay. Mayfield on the otherhand is what he is. a banger They were given those contracts to develop

Forget all the other pieces being thrown around in this thread. Why would the Islanders entertain moving anyone other than Ladd for Ryan Strome? Would you want the Oilers trading an asset of any worth for Nail Yakupov?

i stopped at strome.

32pt in 68 game rookie dman for....a forward that has 28,30 and 34 pt seasons the last 3 years

puljujarvi would be part of the return, not strome

I think Nurse has worked his way into the “untouchable” territory on this team, but those set of wingers fit the bill perfectly for the Oilers.

No chance of Strome and small plus for one of those wingers I suppose?

strome + 10OA for one of those wingers + salary dump (Kulemin?) might work

What do your eyes say about this video?

Ya, you got me. Getting around that speedster Robert Haag on a turnover just doesnt happen to mere mortals.

Look, Pulock is an honest to goodness NHL defenseman but I just dont see him having the wheels to be anything higher than a#5 or so. I can totally see why you’d want to kee him, I just equally cant see why Edmonton would want him given our current roster chock full of middling guys.

Except the isles need quality D a heck.of a lot more then they need another winger.
So, no Puljujarvi would hold little interest.

well thats fine but value wise it would take a talent lile pulju to start, not a guy like strome.
but yeah i dont see the isles moving anyone either, especially if de haan and hickey bolt

You sound like you have read Pulock's predraft scouting reports, instead of actually watching him play this past season.
Kind of difficult to take seriously comments from a poster, who clearly has not watched Pulock.

Isles do not want Strome back.

Isles do not want to trade top, nhl ready prospects for a 10OV magic bean, that may contribute in 3-4 yrs.

And Kuli is a ufa in July, so no need for him to be cap dumped.

the isles would trade JHS for strome +10 overall in a heartbeat, lets not kid ourselves here

From the limited Isles/Flyers games I've seen this year, Hagg is a fine skater. His name also isn't Haag. You must be too busy analyzing his skating to learn his name.

Don't worry crew, I've done extensive scouting on Ethan Bare and how he doesn't project to be a top 4 defenseman.

22 pts in the nhl over 43 games for JHS, who will be in the mix for an nhl job in Oct. Isles would rather have 22 yr old JHS then a 2018 magic bean, several years away from contributing.

This is like Isles fans not watching Nurse in the nhl, but posting about his
questionable hockey IQ as if that somehow will actually effect his trade value.

If Chiarelli moves RNH for him I'm done and realistically why would NYIS trade him for less when they already need D.

Unless RNH plays D and has top 2-3 potential, then do not worry because he holds no interest in a Pulock trade. Isles biggest need is adding a quality, top 4D

If he was Finnish instead of Swedish, it would be Haag.

I’m surprised people are saying he has top pairing potential, he was a rookie defenseman who just made the jump this year, and he has always had defensive problems

Are the Oilers trying to corner the market on Isles defensemen who cant skate? We’ve already got lots of #5/6D including a bottom pairing RH D with a big shot in Ethan Bear and he costs nothing.

Holy ignorance. Thanks for stopping by though.

He's hammered a lot out at the AHL level. He's always had the tools, just needed more time to craft the toolbox. Most will say his shot is his best asset, but his skating and puck handling are really good as well.

Really? His puck handling wasn't bad, but the multiple times I saw him his skating was mediocre at best. The shot also stands out.

I just question the defensive IQ as well as Skating.

I dont think Bear will get in a top 4 any more than i think
Pulock will. Guess we’ll both see.

I would classify him more as a 2nd pairing PP specialist. I do think Pulock has a chance to be a 20 goal defenseman

I have no clue why Weight didn't use him on the first unit PP to be honest, especially when it was obvious we weren't going to make the playoffs.

Probably my biggest fear with Pulock is he will injury Anders Lee with his shot. lol

On the subject of his skating he is not that fast of a skater but does have deceptive lateral movements
