Easier said than done when a huge % of the population is shifting out of the tax paying portion of their lives and into the tax dependent portion.

In the 1970s, the baby boomers were all in the workforce and had fewer dependents to take care of. Sadly, they didn't think too far ahead and put money away for this eventuality, but rather fought for tax cuts.
Correct da fix will be tough ... i never said it would be easy ... nothing good in life comes without a fight ... but we can't continue on current healthcare trajectory which puts us in lockdown AGAIN with another bug in 3 - 5 - 7 - 11 years ... da only good from COVID was now da people see what a sham our current system is ... a complete and total joke in levels of Italy and Mexico what a total collapse

You clearly have no idea what the word "socialism" means lmao
Socialism is an economic and political system. It is an economic theory of social organization.
In a purely socialist system, all legal production and distribution decisions are made by the government, and individuals rely on the state for everything from food to healthcare. The government determines the output and pricing levels of these goods and services.
Socialists contend that shared ownership of resources and central planning provide a more equal distribution of goods and services and a more equitable society.

I was referring to Canada's healthcare socialist program ...

Just a question, are there no private clinics in Ontario?

I know my mother-in-law opted to have surgery in a private clinic in Vancouver a couple years ago, rather than wait for her public appointment.
No one stopped her from going to a private clinic, where she paid out of pocket.
Of course if the private clinic botches anything then the public system is left holding the bag.

A co-worker's flew to Mexico to have surgery because he didn't want to wait for his public appointment here in Alberta.

There already is a two or three tier health care system in Canada, everyone is covered in the public system and for those who can afford it they can chose other options.

Everyone in Canada is covered.

No ... it is just da reality of where we are as a country ... people in Canada in general like to think they are a total democracy when we really are not ... even US is not perfect but it is closer ... i think you can be a left leaning liberal socialist or a right leaning conservative socialist ... i really can't even see da difference between NDP/Liberals anymore

Especially now that the NDP has essentially abandoned the working class unions. The NDP were fighting against the North American free trade agreement and other trade agreements in the early 1990's, now they're staunch supporters of that stuff. So they're left courting loony Greens and the radicalized children of urban Liberals.

Bret Weinstein said on early on (JRE 1494) that the likely hood of this coming out of the lab was highly probable, doubted the wet market theory although said it was technically possible.
Nobody seems to talk much about the Chinese Communist Party shutting down all domestic travel from Wuhan at the time but freely allowing international travel.
