The fact that teams without full lineups place higher than me and people being allowed to trade the same player from the same team in two different deals blows my mind.

Just how GM Games work, a complete waste of time if you ask me. Build a good roster for people to look at RL, Philly at 1 is a joke

All gAmes are like that, its too bad becUse it kinda makes the game pointless in the end
Well, isnt pointless? It's not like you can put these games on your resume and all of a sudden get a job as the GM of some NHL team.

They are just a way to kill time and see how you match up against other amateur GM's.

These games last 1 or 2 seasons and the amount of trades and who is traded is amazingly unrealistic. Is the value there? yeah sure sometimes, but the players moving usually wont be doing so. I seriously doubt in 1 year the Philadelphia Flyers will acquire Zetterberg, Parise, and Burns.

and because its a 1 or 2 season game teams will trade all their top prospects to land the best players knowing there isnt really an consequence.

Oh ok I gotcha. Yeah its not really fun that way, there are so many things that could happen that effect the standings. Injuries, players not living up to their skill, etc. So to just vote on the best players doesnt seem fair. it makes the playoffs pointless, I doubt after everyone votes for a #1 that they will lose any series.

First of all.

1 - This "game" is impossible to be "realistic" all we can do is make trades what we think the "VALUE" is fair. We are not putting there families or other decisions in this "game".

2 - It's not a exact science who makes the playoffs and who does not, There are no injuries, and nobody knows who will emerge as a superstar (girioux) or who will have a terrible off-year (kesler). It's chance which we CANT calculate, all we can do is base it off talent, and talent alone.

3 - People need to seriously calm down a bit, Being upset you missed the playoffs is fine, but ranting and raving about it in this thread is not going to get anybody anywhere.

4 - I do agree the people who have been "afk" for most of the game should not be ranked high, but when a team is simply THAT good, where do you expect to put them?. I was on vacation for a few weeks after I made significant trades, i signed ZERO UFA's, would you put me out of the playoffs with THAT team?.

The Final Ranking Results will be posted later tonight once we get more votes from GMs. Then that will determine the playoff matchups which will also be voted on. I won't be active this weekend (18th-20th). So I am leaving it to the other commissioners to post the results for playoff matchups. So this weekend everyone send in your votes to any commissioner but me because I won't be active.

Tommorrow is when we will vote on the Eastern and Western Conference Quarter Finals. Then Semi-Finals till the end I won't be here.

I will post the results for the Quarter Finals once I get more votes. And then the other commissioners will do the Semi-Finals results tomorrow and so on, because I won't be here for the weekend.
