Yah no, I think it's pretty dumb to speculate on things like this.

This is how the whole "Hall is a cancer teammate" thing started - baseless speculation.

Not really, "Hall is a cancer teammate" came from teammates, not speculation.

McDavid is disengaged ... ok, but he is playing on a different level from everyone else in the league. Perhaps he is just realizing that making it deep in the playoffs is what's important, not individual accomplishments.

Seriously, do people just look for things to critique, complain about, and otherwise be miserable about?

Oh most certainly.

What a joke... if McDavid and Kane switched places in the scoring race it'd be Kane no question. The bias is amazing
This is a good point. There is no one that would ever argue for McDavid if he was so far behind in scoring race, while playing terrible defence to boot.

McDavid has been the best player by such a massive margin AND is going to win the scoring title in the most dominating fashion in 20+ years AND his team is making the playoffs. It is ridiculous that anyone else would even have an argument.

There is no argument, not any sane one at any point. If he keeps this up, he'll win the Hart and Lindsay in a landslide. It's *absurd* how much better he has been than everybody else this year.

What was I being miserable about... back in March 2020?

Also can you post some sources from his teammates that state "Hall is cancer in the locker room"?

If you look at other skills like his skating and play away from the puck..he is significantly better then matthews.....henwon back to back mvp and should win again this year. He is much better then matthews. Im not a fan of any of theseb2 teams, but its a fact

Chicago has won 3 of their last 11 games (5 in last 14). Most likely wont make it to playoffs, it seems.

And even though they would go to playoffs and Kane would finish 3rd in scoring, Connor wins hart, art, lindsay - not close.

Please stay healthy Connor!

No player will bad mouth another like that. You won't find many. Heck you won't find anything bad said about DeAngelo or Avery either.

You listen to what management, vets, and coaches say, and connect a few dots, and build up a list of things it becomes pretty clear the negative influence Hall has.

This is the guy who straight up said he didn't bother listening to coaches in Edmonton, and only started during his Hart season.

I'm not too worried about what a handful of NHL.com writers had to say. So far this season McDavid is lapping the field a way we haven't seen since the days of Lemieux and Gretzky. Its astounding.
Actually the scariest part is that the Oilers may have two players lapping the field. It’s like having the modern equivalent of Gretzky and Lemieux on the same team.

Conner has reached new levels and looks great. However he still has those games where he doesn't play well defensively and is the obvious goat on many goals against. I hope we are watching his game mature to be more responsible consistently.

@Perfect_Drug While their is little/no proof of much of the fire for all the Hall "smoke"... I think only the willfully obstinate can even pretend this player, despite all his abundant one dimensional offensive skills, actually can help a team win. At least some of that due to a negative entitled attitude.

For me, him going on and on about wanting to play for a contender for less money and then going to the sabres for the absolute top dollar and worst team will forever identify Hall as a shallow person and the results of his teams a shallow player.
