STL acquires Ryan O'Reilly - the second big trade in as many summers for a top C, this might not be as advisable but it would give them an incredible top line and one-two punch down the middle
TOR trades Pickard to ??? - it's a sunk-cost fallacy to hold on to something just bc you've already invested in it, but the Leafs have put more time and resources into Sparks and McElhinney and might want to see that through. Combine that with the fact that Pickard has the benefit of age and NHL experience over McElhinney and Sparks respectively, Pickard might just be gone instead of losing him to waivers
