Jacob De laRose reminds me more of a young Scott Mellanby, he can sure play a great two/way game for a 19 yr. old, loves to hit and reads the plays so well he's always at the right spot to disrupt the opposition. He looks like a steal for a 2nd round pick.

Kinda funny that it is the only player in that list, that doesnt have any chances to play in the NHL

Weren't you the guy who brought that up the last time too?

Outside of being both short, they don't have much in common. Hudon is waaaay more of a playmaker than Cammy who is a pure sniper.

Don't know how you can predict Lernout out of the league...I see him as a McQuaid from Boston

Darren Dietz is a bust? I mean there are some of these that dont make much sense but sorry Dietz is pretty damn good ( plus he fights) and made a strong case for himself in training camp. He was one of the last D cut. I wont compare him to anyone because i think all players not in the nhl will be redefined once they make it anyway

Apart from being quebeckers and playoffs chokers, what do they have in .. Oh I guess that's enough.

That's a big list which requires a big reply, so I'll only touch on a couple points.

I assume we are looking at playing styles here. Even if you believe someone is a bust, it doesn't mean that their actual style is not comparable to another NHL player.

Thrower has also reminded me alot of bieksa. That's not to say he is a lock to make the NHL. I think his chances are not very good, but he seems to have that style to him.

Mcarron and lucic seems a bit off to me. I don't think mccaron has the same edge, nor do I think mccaron is making a point to intimidate anyone. Its a tough comparable to make with anyone because its a rare mould of player that we are not accustomed to seeing in the NHL.

Maybe what we can say is that we hope for big Mac to be what the kings hoped for Brian Boyle to be when they drafted him in the 1st round? That's the best I can do.

Probably a bit more realistic than the OP, though you seem to undervalue our D prospect and overvalue our forwards (maybe because we haven't had the time to be disappointed by them...)

I could definitely live with bolded. Sekac as Williams, really? I agree that would be amazing though
