Incredibly sad. One the truly genius comics I've heard in my lifetime.

People with his afflictions are desperate. It's a shame. I wish Robin Williams were still with us.

Yes, indeed. Sad year.

Hoffman was an amazing dramatic actor (The Master, Happiness, Boogie Nights, Scent of a Woman, and many more).

Williams was a genius comedian and underrated dramatic actor.
Turned decent movies into very good movies with his talent and positive energy.

Will be missed.
Their legacies/talent will live on through their movies, DVDs, books...

Loved his movies, comedy and interviews were too random and chaotic for my taste. One thing for sure everyone is talking about him today so like the OP, he must have touched a lot of people with his work. It's a shame someone who gave so much did not feel life was returning enough to him to keep going.
