What do you mean someone who would fit better in a Torts system? We've had 7 coaches and every one of them loved RNH to bits, with the possible exception of Eakins who just liked him a lot, he's the guy coaches go out of their way to praise for his attention to detail and smart plays.

IMO Wennberg is a must buy-out you should really take advantage of the 1/3rd buy-out window while you still can, once he's no longer 26 that jumps up to having to pay-out 2/3rd's of the contracts value.

This thread seems like an absolute no-brainer NO for the Oilers. RNH is a very skilled 2way center that has been 0.85pts per game for the past 3 seasons. He's defensively responsible and has scored at nearly 30g per 82gms since the 2018 season. There is nothing in the CBJ offer that comes close to that value.

RNH has never given Edmonton a single indication that he would go elsewhere or has been anything less than happy as an Oiler, and we need Savard like we need a hole in the head.

So is Savard - top 40 C's in the NHL don't get traded for 2/3rd line tweener wings. RNH with 1 year left is worth far more than this package. Jones isn't a throw in either. I think he will continue to develop and is a solid #4 Dman. I like his overall skill set more than Bear, but his opportunities are fewer because of Klefbom and Nurse. Terrible trade for Oilers all around.

It doesn’t matter, we don’t need to trade important pieces for potential rentals. We are looking for a long term solution. RNH with 3-4 years on his deal would be that solution

but not for the pieces offered in the original proposal. Bjorkstrand isn't the piece to get an extended RNH.
