i talked to some folks at CSB and boija is draft eligible this year.
Anyone born between Jan 1, 2004 and Sep 15 2006 must go through the draft.

Only exception is they can sign as an undrafted free agent the day following the draft until the first day of their regular season in their respective leagues.

Hot take
I wouldn’t burn an NHL year on Collin Graf
I'd certainly try and sign him but no way do I burn a year, 2 games in a row with the money on the line he's been mostly the invisible man

Hell baby
So is that worth getting excited over?

Would we even see him in Boston this year?
Eventually maybe worth getting excited over, cannot reasonably expect him to contribute in an NHL playoff game without seeing him play a pro game. He does seem to have a game that could play in the bottom 6 at least

Sure,he's free and plays What I would call Bruins style of hockey
Doubtful anyone would be a difference maker in the playoffs coming out of College that's not drafted

Eric is kinder than I am. No one is going to come in as an Undrafted and be a difference maker that year in the NHL postseason . They track record for players who sign and go straight to NHL isn't good (with the exception of a few high profile, high cost Europeans. (Panarin)

You can find guys who develop into good players in the undrafted Free agent market, but they are not replacing first round picks.

You have to go back to 2015 to find an undrafted player who has scored 100 goals in the league in their career (Vatrano , Sheary)

Remove Panarin from the conversation, you have to go back to 2012 to find an undrafted skate (from anywhere) who made the NHL all rookie team and who played at least 100 games in the league
