Yeah, I am assuming he played pretty sheltered minutes in NJ, he can't be worse here playing similar sheltered mins with a very good d-man like Samberg. I wouldn't pull Schmidt out just yet but he gives the Jets good insurance for injuries.

What a difference a year makes. Jets go into this trade deadline in a position of strength and the moves Chevy’s made reflect the confidence the organization has in this group. The mood surrounding this team is also much more positive within our fanbase, even around the league from the little bits I’ve been reading in the forum. Great business done by The Dancing Man imo. A depth piece for the D corps was needed and caps off a stellar day. No matter what the outcome, I’m effing excited for the run at the division title and for the playoffs.

you will like him. has been really solid this season, so a good option as third pair RD for the jets. keeps it simple, moves puck crisply, has a cannon from the point. prolly strictly 5v5 guy, could fill in on the #2 PP or PK if in a pinch.

Bones isn't here to answer but my guess he will be interchangeable with Schmidt as a 6/7 on the bottom pairing. Moves Stanley one step further from the starting lineup.

Seems like a classic Chevy under-the-radar pickup
