Drouin gets 2 minutes more than Evans at ES, its hardly unmanageable. That fourth line could produce a lot of points in a matchup based utilisation. Think of how Kessel was used in Pittsburgh.

You have to choose who to defend, its a good strategy, and the Habs are so deep they can afford it too. You'd want to swap TT with Drouin ? Makes no sense.

I don't think anyone here is saying he has a guaranteed spot in the big squad. But if there's injuries or what have you, it's nice to have a player like him who could be available if we need him.

I still think he should do 1 full year in Laval next year.

But win now Julien will take the best 12 forwards out of training camp. If we lose wingers like Tatar and Armia, chances are he'll be in Montreal.

Don't think it makes that much of a difference if I'm being honest, he can play both. Switch him with Toffoli then, it's not that big of a deal. The real issue is that Danault line.

We also never had the depth and talent in the big club to bring in young talent. We do now and Caufield is ready. Don’t let his height fool you. It’s not like you would bring him to play with Jacob De la rose and Daniel Carr.

Ripping up the NCAA does not mean he is ready for top 6 role in the nhl lol. He needs time to gain strength still. Guys like gionta and St. Louis had absolutely jacked cores and legs and brought a certain edge. Give this kid time to develop his pro game

Does he have a choice? If Cole Caufield doesn't want to play with KK he can play in Laval.
