Which Cole do you think will have a better NHL career, 2019 15th overall pick by Montreal Cole Caufield or 2020 draft eligible Cole Perfetti?

Caufield is easily top 8 talent in the 2019 draft. Give me Lafrenière, Byfield, Raymond, Lundell, Raymond, Holtz and Drysdale over Perfetti. He’s not 4th OA material lol.

That’s your opinion, not one of professional scouts. Even if you’re right you’re basically saying they are both ~8OA talents but Perfetti is in a stronger draft. Plus the way you worded your previous post it was like it’s Caufield and it wasn’t even close

I highly doubt Caufield is top 8 in the best draft class since 2015 and shaping up to be a top 3 class in the last 20 years (2003, 2015)

In the top 10 alone, I have him over Seider, Broberg and Podkolzin. He would jump Knight, Soderstrom, York, Boldy. I wouldn’t trade Caufield for any of those players.

I tend not to trust polls done in the midst of one player in the poll doing great in the spotlight right now while the other player isn't playing, especially when the players in question tend to be pretty close in ability.

Ok so even in your extremely biased opinion they’re both ranked 8 in their drafts and 2020’s better than 2019. So Perfetti still ranks higher lol.

It was Button during the broadcast today that said he had him at 4. Also these two mock drafts posted to the HFBoards 2020 draft thread have him at 5 and 6

Perfetti is the shiny new toy, and caufield going 15th has had an impact on public perception. id even know who is doing those mock drafts you listed but a guy like pronman who is much more credible than random people doing mock drafts had caufield 6th and Perfetti is currently 14th on his list. And I thought everyone on hf considered button a joke? perfetti over byfield, laf, holts and raymond definitely is a joke at this point.
