Confirmed Signing with Link: [COL] Ryan Murray signs with the Avalanche (1 year, $2M)

Reasonable price for a very serviceable NHL dman. Murray is a low-end 4 or high-end 5 on most teams, but on the Avs he's probably a 6D. I'm assuming:

Toews - Makar
Girard - EJ
Byram - Murray (one of Byram/Murray playing their off side)

Strong D for sure. IMO Murray is roughly on par with Graves, and he's $1.17 mil cheaper. So that trade basically boils down to:

Graves (2 years, $3.17 mil/year)
for
Murray (1 year, $2 mil), Maltsev, late 2021 2nd (Sean Behrens)

Pretty nice asset management, the Avs ended up with slightly more cap space AND two decent prospects for swapping Graves with Murray.
