Love this trade. I really liked Taylor Beck his draft year, had him ranked 30th if I remember. He could be a solid depth player for us.

Can't believe anyone wanted Cliche, let alone for a guy who's actually played in the NHL and has some upside!

They said they wouldn't trade high picks for a rental. Cliche was a former 2nd round pick, we basically gave up a 2nd rounder for a useless RFA we're not even gonna keep.

For Snow he likely needed a middle 6 centre for the Isles minor league system and that's what prompted the deal.

33pts in the AHL , not terrible. And he fits the age group. I bet he cracks the lineup in some capacity in the next year or so.

Useless depth for potentially useful depth. Reasonable move for evaluation purposes alone. Should be a good player for the Rampage next year, and Cliche's role with SA can be easily replaced over the offseason.
