Helm is a championDon’t like this. Helm had an underwhelming regular season and only turned it on in the post season. Cogs could have filled his role on the team. Avs really hate developing younger players.
I like it but also agree with this. We needed to leave open space for my boys Kaut and Bowers (lol).Don’t like this. Helm had an underwhelming regular season and only turned it on in the post season. Cogs could have filled his role on the team. Avs really hate developing younger players.
Who cares how he was in the regular season. That 4th line was amazing all playoffs which is all the Avs should care about.Don’t like this. He’s also a regular season backseat passenger.Helm is a champion
He deserves 1 million dollars just for scoring that goal in the last few seconds of game 6 against the blues. The look on the players and fans in that building. Priceless!Don’t like this. Who knows. Avs never try to develop their youth. They have this idiot running the team in Loveland that uses AHL vet nobodies like Sherwood for PP1 and most of the ice time.Dude crushed it in the postseason, at this point it's more about having reliable veteran forwards for the playoffs than the regular season. When he and/or Cogs inevitably get injured they can call up someone, even though there's not much in the way of young players who are reliably ready for a bottom 6 role. Who is he taking a job from?
They can wait they are not ready yet need proven bottom sixers lol.I like it but also agree with this. We needed to leave open space for my boys Kaut and Bowers (lol).
Who gives a shit? The Avs apparently don't. Playoffs are all that matter. If a 35 year old wants to save it for the playoffs, why not? Older players on good teams have that luxury. He’s also a regular season backseat passenger.

Avs seem to think the AHL team is for winning and not developing players.
Both Helm and LOC struggled when put on lines with JTC - really looked awful. Once they were linked in with Cogs it started to work. This is great news for all 3 of those guys. Go back and watch game 6 - in first period it was a hot mess when they were apart and Bednar put these guys back together late in the first and the whole team started working right. Weird how every stinking line started locking TBL down because of this line.Don’t like this. Helm had an underwhelming regular season and only turned it on in the post season. Why? They're both AHL players.I like it but also agree with this. We needed to leave open space for my boys Kaut and Bowers (lol).
