I still remember his early years too when the team didn't quite know what to do with him.

There's a guy that a lot of folks had given up on and he just morphed into a hell of a defenceman for a lot of years.

Note: this story has nothing to do with Cody Ceci, who has morphed into the same guy he's always been.
