And now Cornet volleys it (accrobatically) on the crossbar.
Lyon is once again very unlucky.

Pfft plastic European fans...all the games are well underway without incident. Only Argentina has real fans.

Damn Lyon finally and deservedly opens the scoring but City ties right back on a set play (Laporte).
City should never be in this game. And now momentum will be for them.

As good as Guedes was last year he's been equally as bad this year. Shocking performance so far and Marcelino deserve blame for leaving him out this long while you have soler on the bench.

Valencia showing too much respect for juve no risk no reward

Watching United try to get a winner vs Young Boys is like watching a sunday league squad. There's absolutely zero attacking formation. It's just a bunch of players looking around to see if there's any obvious lanes open, making an easy pass, and then the next guy doing the same thing until someone throws in a stupid cross.

Edit: Rofl, and as I type that Fellaini gets a chip from Lukuaku and turns to put it home.

Well, lyon outplayed City twice in two games. This time a lucky 2-2 draw for City (2 set plays) after being outplayed. Lyon had the chances to lead 3-0 at halftime, luck and mistakes by the forwards prevented it.
Late goal by Shaktar means nothing's done for them. A draw would have seen them through, but now they'll have to go to Ukraine and play their qualification there, which is not easy (draw will be enough for Lyon).
If they go out, it will be immensly furstrating after being so close to victories at home against Shaktar, City and Hoffenheim and away at Hoffenheim. Beyond crazy.

Lol United are going to get smashed in the first knockout stage. They're lucky to not be last in their group with the way they've played.

So elimination and clinching scenarios. I *think* these are accurate, but I haven't gone through detailed.

<snip>

Here's the update after the 11/27 games. Group E through H are finished with MD5

Group E
Bayern and Ajax are moving on. If Ajax wins on MD6, they'll top the group, if not Bayern will.
Benfica will head to the Europa league and AEK finishes bottom of group.

Group F
Man City moving on. If Lyon wins and Man City loses on MD6 Lyon will top the group, otherwise Man City will.
Shakhtar Donetsk's late winner means that they're still alive. If they beat Lyon on MD6 they'll take the second spot. If not, Lyon moves on.
Hoffenheim needs a win and a Shakhtar Donetsk loss to move to the Europa, otherwise they'll finish at the bottom.

Group G
Real Madrid will top the group, Roma finishes 2nd.
CSKA and Plzen are in the running for Europa league. CSKA gets a better result than Plzen on MD6 they get Europa, otherwise Plzen do.

Group H
Juve and Man United moving on. If United win MD6 and Juve drop points, United will top the group, otherwise Juve will.
Valencia is headed to the Europa league and Young Boys are bottom.

Pretty much, they are extremely fortunate that they found a club going through a worse stretch of games than them in Valencia. Young Boyz were always going to finish bottom, that was scene during the lottery draw of the groups. United is going to get smashed hard and I am willing to bet that Moaninho will moan and get thrown out from one of the matches.

That's how good City is though Evilo, Lyon outplayed them, but City was able to grind out a draw and stay first with a comfortablity.

Football showing itself from it's best side in Greece tonight.. :shakehead
Greece is Somalia of Europe, don't put loads of public money in socialist programmes just to become bankrupted because of it, which leads to hooligan pirates carrying flares.

There was no comfort in City's draw
Just like in the first leg where they lost at home.
