I thought it was calculated daily over the number of days in the regular season? Unfortunately no more capgeek, wish the static information pages could've been left available.

It is daily ... something like 191 days in reg season gives daily rate.

I don't see Wideman playing in Ottawa any time soon unless there is an injury on the right side on defence, it's more likely he will end up being another career AHL player. His draft position & his size hurts him a lot I think especially with the size of NHL players today. I also think with Karlsson already there I doubt they put another small defenceman on the right side but you never know, I just doubt it will happen. Good luck to him though.
