He was a free agent at one point and re-signed. He doesn't have a lot of trade value. Could see a team taking a chance on him but wouldn't be surprised if he clears.

I wouldn't say that. Plenty of teams probably see him as a victim of circumstance. He is a world class skater and a great leader. You could do far worse on a waiver claim.

Don't get me wrong, it take some good skills to even be in the AHL. However, I just don't see him as anything in the NHL.
