Haven't checked the whole thread, so maybe she's already in somewhere, but the lady from Arch Enemy rocks. Not a big fan of the music, but she's no turn off.



Edit: even better, a song with Nita Strauss (who for sure was already named in this thread). Ok, well, the song is very bad, but I'll always like Strauss for having been with Alice for some time.

First heard God is a Bullet and fell in love with her voice around 1990. Saw Concrete Blonde at the Commodore around '92 or '93 and they were amazing. When she cuts loose with her voice I still get chills.

Irma Thomas .. old blues lady from new orleans. She still plays at every show and fest around.

If you listen to WWOZ youll hear her stuff often.

saw her live a bunch of times but maybe 10 years ago at some random fest in new orleans she picked up an electric guitar and slayed it. I didnt know she could play the guitar but musicians can play any instrument it seems.
