Norv had been mostly garbage in his previous stops, I don't know that anyone was killing themselves to bring him in, he was almost 25 games under .500

It was a weird hire . He was coming off his stint as the 49ers O Cordinator. That 2006 49ers offense wasn't even great . I remember it being a head scratching move at the time .He did go on to win 3 playoff games for the Bolts and a AFC title game appearance though. So good for him I guess even if he had inherited a stacked team. That 2009 choke against the Jets was awful though.

If I'm the Chargers I don't even want BB. I'd try to hire the best offensive mind possible to have MVP Herbert.
