Well deserved. Could have gone through last year IIRC.

Last year we should have been 3rd in the group. Started with a fantastic game at home against PSG (1-1) and a win at Leipzig (1-2) but then were outclassed twice by City and at PSG. All we needed was to avoid defeat at home to Leipzig to finish 3rd but Clement made some huge tactical errors and we got destroyed and finished 4th.

Our best chance was actually 2 years ago. In the final group game at Lazio we needed a win to advance and with the game at 2-2 in injury time, Charles de Ketelaere hit the crossbar instead of aiming a little bit lower.

Well not Larin because he's terrible

Buchanan tho is class. Had to defend a lot today but worked his butt off.
Larin is a solid player but this move has not worked for him. CF/ST is too crowded for him to break in. It sucks because he is a beast at times for the CMNT. He is a striker that needs involvement and confidence to be at his best. In retrospect staying at Besiktas would have been the better option for those goals.

Liverpool have scored about 50% of their goals this season against Bournemouth and Rangers. Not falling for it. Yet. R16 is going to be a bitch with all those PL teams going to win their groups. Likely to be Bayern, Madrid or PSG. Still a ton of work to do

For all the talent we have on the pitch at times I feel as though Xavi doesn’t have them playing to their potential. Not a fan of his approach to this one either. If you’re going to do three at the back then do it. Sure Sergi got an assist, but IMO that goal was down to Raphinha and Sergi didn’t offer a lot. IMO Frenkie would have offered more. I think Alba or Balde in a four man back line would have offered more than Alonso. And not sure what goal I’m seeing the media calling Pique out for. First goal he was clearly marking Dzeko and Garcia and Gavi should be picking up that run in behind. Gavi did, but Garcia didn’t pick it up and was seemingly marking no one. On top of that, and not to take away from Lautaro Martinez who had two excellent moments with his goal and assist, Garcia‘s defending was poor on their second goal.

Looks like it’s another season of the Europa League. At least we went out in the group of death and they went down fighting. League needs to take precedence now.

Laporta is like Bartomeu. A con-man. Sold some of the gullible fans a bill of goods.

Selling off future interests in the club for short term success, only to not have that success, looks terrible right now.

If Barca wins something or is even competitive this year it will be ok.
If they suck everywhere Barca is in a world of shit.
But they look competitive. Just not CL competitive.
