The Redblacks are an awful team. And they are not going to get much better the rest of this year even with a bunch on new players. There's a good chance they have started the downward spiral to oblivion again.

Interesting that attendance is much higher in covid denying provinces.

Having sat through a few torrential downpours to watch offenses do absolutely nothing this season I actually find almost 12k during a covid pandemic to be pretty darn good.
I like football as much as the next guy & even though the Tiger-Cats are my favourite team, I'm not sitting through down pours any more to watch a piss poor Ottawa team even when my team & their 3rd string QB can kick the RedBlacks ass during Covid. IMO they need to clean house & start again.

North side sucks… but as I get older that roof ain’t looking too bad.

Those are the provinces that actually like CFL football. The level of interest in the CFL in Ontario is likely at an all-time low.

We had a great vibe in that stadium when the team was at least competitive and as they got better it was a very hot ticket.

This team is just about un-watchable at the moment. The D plays hard and now we have our exciting returner back but the offense is an absolute disaster and quite frankly and embarrassment to pro football.

Watching 3yd pass attempts fail, a non-existent running game and zero creativity is too painful to tolerate for long. It's the friggin CFL - find a way to get the ball to some playmakers in space, there is loads of it.

100% true that their baseline is also generally higher. But it’s also a fact that Ontario has placed more restrictions (hence Hamilton being at 15k). I’m just suggesting that it’s not surprising to see people in those provinces not hesitate in relation to covid.

Yeah. I know nobody in my age group who cares about cfl

I know a lot of season ticket holders who don’t care at all about the team. The atmosphere and socialisation is/was a big draw at RedBlacks games. One of my colleagues regularly doesn’t know the score of games she attends.

I don’t think they need to be winning for people to go, but they at least have to compete. 5 offensive touchdowns through 6 games is just pathetic.

pretty much this. At its best, its a fantastic social atmosphere with party vibes that happens to also have a football game going on at the same time. Also over priced beer and food, but thats part of the fun!!!

First game of the season I got to go to and it was a banger. Defence was playing great and was all over Cornelious. Can't believe that was Evans first game, kid looked great!

Congrats on that game last night, that young QB you guys have was unbelievable last night & what an opening game drive. Why didn't they try him sooner? I heard they have 5 QBs in camp now, I imagine they will let Davis go & probably Nichols at some point, but they should hang on to him as a mentor for the remainder of the season. It will be interesting to see that Duck guy at some point too. Too bad we didn't get a chance to see that other QB who was suppose to play last night, Evans wouldn't let him on the field the way he played.
