all the hallmarks of a canada choke job vs a lesser opponent.
no urgency, prone to giving up one fluke counter and lose,
no tactics - visibly anyway

clearly rusty and no money to have played an opponent earlier this month

me too. meow
Best I got looks like this lol

You'd expect a better performance against T and T, but they did get the job done in the end. The program is in such shambles these days, I'll sure take it.

I don't know what's going to happen tomorrow, I really don't. I know what I want to happen, and what I think should happen, but this the Canadian's MNT, and we know they have a history, including this generation, of falling flat on their face in big moments.

I also don't know which will be better for the long term success of the team, a win or a loss. Has Canada Soccer been scared enough yet to force them to get off their asses and run this organization and team properly? Or do they need one more massive slap in the face.

We're three months away from possibly the second biggest tournament ever for Team Canada and we don't even have a permanent coach. I have nothing against Biello, but he just doesn't have the clout we need to bring the National Team forward. As much as we need a good tactician, we also need someone with fight and drive, and the ability to get more out of the players than they think they can give. We also need to keep bringing in more dual nationals.

I will say though that I'm encouraged by the fact that they finally moved on from some of the older players to try and get the younger ones more involved.

At the end of the day though, nothing short of a multi goal win is acceptable. Because if we want to think that we can now, and in the future, compete with the stronger teams in the world, we simply cannot, cannot, cannot, just simply beat a team like T+T. We have to beat them handily.
Need a permanent coach who can call Davies out for his hero-ball BS

Biello looks like a good guy but I don't want him as gaffer for the NT. They can keep him as an assistant but he's not manager material. I hope whoever makes this decision watched the game and won't just look at the score.

It's his job for the foreseable future. It's just not a popular gig right now, no career oriented coach wants it.

I don't know about that. In the next two years, Canada will be in the Gold Cup, Copa America and World Cup. That is an excellent opportunity for a career-oriented coach.

We could lose Piette, Choinière, Sirois and Waterman for at least 3 games

It's probably going to be just 3 because we play Argentina on opening day, then Peru and Chile
