Haula with 2 pts (two assists) in last 14 games.
He's been flat out awful. I know he's fighting confidence, playing time, perhaps his knee, and a tragic life situation, but he's better than that and needs to start showing it down the stretch. Otherwise, we should launch him into the sun and find something else, even if a Checker.

Every time I start to come around a bit on Haydn Fleury, he handles the puck like a hand grenade and I go back as I was.

He’s still way below average with the puck in his own zone. Needs to work on finding the open man quickly or learnt the Slavin flip to center ice or something. Frankly it’s the thing keeping him out of the top 4, the rest of his game has come around.

Fleury is a #7 dman. He's not good enough at his peak, or consistently average enough to be much more.

Usually players on a UFA contract year play lights out, except canes' players. E. Staal, Ferland, and now Haula are leaving millions on the table. The last player I remember that played fantastic on the contract year here was Semin.
