I think he's going to out produce Stamkos' rookie season .

I actually looked up Tavares's rookie numbers out of curiosity last night.

I liked what I saw.

He should come close to that.
He's on pace to play 82 games and score 53 points. That was well above my preseason thought.

I also think playing 82 games is a very underrated accomplishment if he should reach that...an 18 year old rookie playing 82 games and producing all along the way is extremely exciting for what the future holds.

It's so refreshing to not have to make excuses like "He's just a rookie" for not one but two forwards this season. Hischier is potential being realized.

If you look at primary points/60 at 5v5 among those who have played at least 100 minutes, he's 13th. Hall's 10th.

Brian f***ing Gibbons is 12th.
