What is it with ripped jeans?

Also, what is that guy doing with his hands there? Is that an "I'm okay" sign?

And Yes. Sal looks funny when you pause and screenshot his face.

I missed the Philly game in bed with the flu. It was an offensive night. Last night I missed a Kinkaid and offensive game while I was in hospital with the flu.

Go Devils maybe I should stay with the flu, no thanks

Just took a cruise through the Canes GDT, just to see what they think of Darling. Some great posts in there. One person said that Darling's 5-hole is really a 55-hole! Lots of calls to waive Darling tomorrow, one post about Darling got $16 million just to destroy their season. Obviously implying that he'll be bought out and will get that money for just torpedoing them this season. One poster called him a fat f***ing giant. I hope he doesn't have a Twitter!

I've never gotten a flu shot and haven't had the flu in like 5-6 years.
I've never gotten a flu shot and I haven't had the flu in like 17 years? It was probably January-ish of 2001, although I caught something in January of 2003, that was fairly similar. Now that I said that.... I'm probably gonna get it this year.:help:

I was spending a lot of time at my buddies place back then in the early 00's. I was spending the night there a lot, because I was younger and still lived with my grandparents. Him and his roommate got the flu and infected pretty much everyone that came in that place with the flu. A couple of his roommates friends also got it. We pretty much sat around and watched Devils games a lot during that time. At one point we were even quarantined into his bedroom, after the roommate got better. We weren't allowed to sit in the living room haha, and I don't think my grandparents even wanted me to come home, because they didn't wanna get sick. I only missed a few days of work though. My then-girlfriend did drop by a few times to bring me stuff and get me food and bring me some OTC remedies. I wouldn't let her hang out in there though, I didn't want her to get sick.

She was the only living human to set foot in that place in a couple week span, who didn't wind up getting sick, but she didn't spend much time in there.

I have noticed that since I worked at a hospital for like 7 years I don't seem to get sick as often. I think being around all the crud that went around that place built up my immunity. I don't even get colds as often as I used to.

that sign means if you look at it he gets to punch you hard in the arm, it's something a lot of people are doing these days

It's a game. If you see someone do it, you get hit, iirc. Though back in HS, if someone made you look down and see it, you had to lay on the floor for a second, wherever you were. Not fully sure how the game works haha

I felt like Nico took over the game last night for the first time. He’d been very good at his role but this was him taking the reigns are willing the team to victory. To know he is not only capable of doing it but did it when it really matters, is such an optimistic sign.

That little stutter step Nico did before slipping by the defenseman for Palms' goal was unreal. So quick, so smooth.

He looks stronger and faster than ever right now. He must be hitting the weights with Hall.

I was kind of disappointed in the Canes. This was my first time seeing them all year. Aren't they supposed to be on a tear right now? I know they kicked LA's ass the other night. But the team we played was incredibly sloppy and had no structure whatsoever. Their neutral zone play was abysmal and they turned the puck over in their D zone with only the slightest bit of pressure. And Darling looked awful.

Maybe we just caught them on an off night but they looked like a lottery team most of the game (minus the start of the third of course). I know they ended up outshooting us but I think that was more a score effect than anything. I'm pretty sure the shots were tied or nearly tied after two.

I said five minutes into the game... "Nico looks good tonight" and damn he had a good game. Palms was also flying out there.

They need goaltending and a 1c. If they get that somehow, they can turn into a really good team. I think they're hoping for Necas to turn out well. They have cap space and a very young team for the most part. It's funny to think that Skinner and Faulk are only 25 years old, feels like they've been in the league forever. I think lack of structure and bad play under pressure can also be applied to the fact they are young. Just look at our team; sometimes they really play like there is no system.

I didn't watch the game last night, glad we won. Off to the next and win please.

Anyways, yeah, it seems like we recaptured a lot of that early season swagger. We didn't crumple when they punched us in the face, we got up and punched them right back.

If guys like Palms and Nico can continue to play like this we'll be in very goos shape. Secondary scoring showed up huge as well. When we get production from guys like Noesen, Wood, the D, etc the team plays so much better. We're going to have some very interesting roster decisions when Boyle and Gibbons come back.

And we have to give Kinkaid credit for last night, he was actually very good. The first goal was kind of a weird one I can't blame him on, and the second one was 100% on the D for the screen and for giving Pesce that much space to walk in.

last night was the exact recipe the team needs to succeed. you dont even need great goaltending you just need consistent and the ability to make that one big save to give the team a chance to close out the game. your top guys scoring as well as the role guys scoring. hopefully this continues and they can build off these last two games huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge test tomorrow night
