No, because if you can simply use goals as a trump card, then by definition there is no such thing as a "well played loss". Only wins and losses. And then there is no point in having a discussion about whether it was well played or not.

If you need to check your memory just go watch the condensed game on nhl.com, and tell me that the chances were not at least 3-1 Jackets.

There are certainly well-played losses, but I don't think giving up 3 goals in 2 minutes is well-played.

And still, when you broke down your analysis of the game, it didn't add up to 50 dominant minutes.

It's not that there wasn't stuff to like about the game last (2nd period stands out), just that your "50 dominant minutes" remark us homerish
